DON’T FEEL BAD ABOUT SAYING NO

People are cool with you being a YES person, but when the time comes that you learn to say NO they feel like you’re not for them anymore. We all need to have boundaries; we need to know when certain situations cease to serve us well. I am around a lot of people who know the importance of setting boundaries in place and some who don’t know what a boundary is. I have a lot of friends who will say NO to certain requests and with that being said will continue on with their day with no worry. On the other hand, I’ve seen people taking offence at someone who says NO to them.

I have come to realize that some people take friendship or kindness as an automatic wave of support for whatever venture they choose to pursue. I think we all need to understand that a friendship is weak when one party thinks that support is guaranteed from the other. That is way too much pressure. There are times when support comes from afar, just because you have a product or an event going on does not mean that you expect your friend pop out. Sometimes they already know that there are certain people who will be at the event that they might not want to be in the presence of. Life happens, and when it does a friend might just cancel on showing up to the event. No one deserves the pressure of popping out to a place they don’t wanna be.
