Off The Grid Youth takes pride in giving back and helping others. We were able to do that on Saturday and Sunday, (August 29 and 30th. Two thousand families walked away with groceries thanks to our partner in giving, Guru Nanak Free Kitchen Calgary. Volunteers were ready to set up and off load groceries from five tractor trailers at 10 AM and lines started running at 1 PM. It is difficult for me to think of families that go without food, children who go to school without snacks or drinks. Guru Nanak Free Kitchen is out to help with that.

We have been working with Guru Nanak Free Kitchen for close to two years and it’s been everything positive for our community. Freely sharing essentials like food is top priority for the Sikh community. I am glad for you connection and the many good things we do together. Every week come rain or shine we step out of our homes to serve the many people in our community.

It is especially important to model such acts service and kindness to our youth; they are the leaders of today. They need to learn how much of a blessing it is to give to others, the importance of giving back and showing love to others.
