I took a couple of OTG teens to Boston Pizza right here in Airdrie to raise money for our programs. Teens had to learn their elevator pitch and “sell” it to diners. I’m glad to report that they did very well.
It is amazing to me how eager our teens are willing to spend a couple of hours after school talking to total strangers about the importance of Off the Grid. They work together to find keywords that they think will help them bring their point across and regroup if what they have used isn’t working.
I look forward to seeing the enthusiasm that our youth have. They are not waiting for adults to bring in funds but they are actually part of bringing in the funds.
